Action against Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan - A Brief Report

JVP (Japan Committee) with Japanese workers gathered in front of the Sri Lanka Embassy in order to condem the violations of human rights, and demand PA government to restore true democracy right away, on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 25.

35 JVP and Japanese activists surrounded the embassy with placards, saying "PA Government, Murder; Stop Killing!" "Restore democrasy immediately!" "Don't deprive us of freedom of the press and speech!" "Give up oppressive measure against JVP!" "Stop the war between PA and LTTE!" etc.

This was part of worldwide actions which the murder of Comrade Dassanayake compels JVP to take, in accordance with international solidarity spirits.

Comrade Saman, one of JVP (JC) member, said, "we are ready to take futher legal, peaceful and democratic action to avoid another reign of terror in Sri Lanka."
